In 1977 NASA would send in space two spacecrafts: Voyager 1 and 2. These would become two of the farthest reaching objects ever launched by humanity- continuing their journeys even today across interstellar space.

These crafts gifted us with information that revolutionised planetary astronomy, answering key questions and sparking new ones about the origin and evolution of our solar system.

They were not launched alone in space. They were each carrying with them a Golden Record. But what does the record hold and how would aliens know how to decode it?
