In 1977, NASA launched the Voyager spacecraft, and along with it, something truly special: the Golden Record. This gold-plated disc is like a time capsule for the universe, filled with sounds, images, and music from Earth—everything from whale songs to greetings in 55 languages. It was designed to show whoever (or whatever) finds it what life on Earth is all about.

Fun fact? Carl Sagan helped put it together, even including a “galactic map” on the cover using pulsars—stars with a unique beat—so if any extraterrestrial explorers come across it, they might just figure out where to find us!
