Underground Creatures in Lehman Cave: Lehman Caves (a single cavern despite the name) extends a quarter-mile into the limestone and marble that flanks the base of the Snake Range. Discovered about 1885 by Absalom Lehman, a rancher and miner, this cavern is one of the most profusely decorated caves in the region. In this clip from Rock The Park, Jack and Colton are getting an update on some cave research they helped with a few years ago in Nevada’s Great Basin National Park. Ecologist Gretchen Baker is teaching them about some of the creatures that live underground in places like Lehman Cave.
